How is technology influencing your approach to denials management?
Ted Syverson: "Technology is playing a crucial role today in how we work with denials, whether it's prevention, processing, or resolution. How we prioritize and leverage our human resources––which is a dwindling resource right now in the revenue cycle––is being offset some by IT and IT's ability to address what the issues are for us. Again, whether that’s defining issues, looking for trends, or substituting for humans that are processing and resolving. The role that IT is playing fin denial management, denial prevention, and denial forecasting is at its peak right now. (Realizing benefits) is more rapid than I've seen in the industry in my past 25 years.”
